Location: Park Café, Tottenham Hale Community Centre, London

Contract: Part-time (two positions available)
The Café
The Park Café at Tottenham Hale Community Centre is a welcoming, community-focused café operating in partnership with Hale Brew. Set within a local park, we serve high-quality coffee, fresh light food, and refreshments to residents, families, and visitors. We aim to be a friendly, inclusive local hub — a place where people can meet, relax, and enjoy good food and coffee.
The Role
We are looking for two reliable and enthusiastic Café Assistants / Baristas to support our day-to-day operations across the following shifts:
Shift 1: Monday – Thursday
Shift 2: Friday – Sunday
You will be responsible for preparing drinks and light food, delivering excellent customer service, and helping the café run smoothly throughout the day.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, tea, and other beverages using Hale Brew products
Prepare and serve light food items including pastries, sandwiches, and snacks
Provide friendly, efficient, and welcoming service to all customers
Operate the till and handle card payments accurately
Keep the café clean and well-organised, including tables, equipment, and service areas
Follow food hygiene and safety procedures in line with UK regulations
Assist with stock monitoring, restocking, and basic inventory tasks
Support opening and closing procedures
Work collaboratively with colleagues and volunteers to maintain a positive environment
Skills and Experience
Previous café, hospitality, or barista experience is desirable but not essential — full training will be provided
A positive, can-do attitude with strong customer service skills
Ability to work efficiently during busy periods
Good communication and teamwork skills
Reliable and punctual
