Melrose and Morgan is looking for a passionate, experienced Lead Barista to join our growing team. This is a full-time, hands-on role for someone who genuinely loves coffee, cares about quality, and enjoys being part of a busy, independent food and drink business.

You’ll lead by example on the coffee machine, set standards, and help shape a warm, welcoming customer experience every day.

The role

• Prepare and serve high-quality espresso-based drinks to a consistently high standard

• Dial in coffee daily and maintain excellent extraction and milk texture

• Lead the barista team during service and support training of new starters

• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and smooth flow behind the bar

• Deliver friendly, confident customer service and represent the Melrose and Morgan brand

• Work closely with the management team to uphold quality and consistency

What we’re looking for

• Proven experience as a barista in a busy café or coffee-led environment

• Strong espresso knowledge and confident milk skills (latte art a plus)

• Calm, reliable and positive under pressure

• Natural leader who enjoys setting standards and supporting others

• Punctual, professional and proud of your work
