Job Summary:
As a Barista Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our coffee shop, ensuring the highest standards of customer service, product quality, and cleanliness. You will lead, train, and motivate our team of baristas, manage inventory, and contribute to the overall success and growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership and Development:
Recruit, train, and supervise baristas to ensure they provide excellent customer service and maintain coffee-making standards.
Foster a positive and collaborative team environment, encouraging continuous learning and development.
Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
Customer Service:
Ensure all customers receive prompt and friendly service.
Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and professionally.
Develop and implement strategies to enhance the customer experience.
Operations Management:
Oversee daily operations, including opening and closing procedures.
Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment for customers and staff.
Ensure all equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
Inventory and Supply Management:
Monitor and manage inventory levels to prevent shortages and overstock.
Order coffee, supplies, and equipment as needed.
Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate prices and contracts.
Financial Management:
Assist in budgeting and financial planning.
Track sales and expenses to ensure profitability.
Implement cost control measures without compromising quality or service.
Marketing and Community Engagement:
Develop and execute marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
Engage with the local community through events and promotions.
Manage social media accounts and online presence to enhance brand visibility.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a barista and in a supervisory or managerial role.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
Knowledge of coffee brewing techniques and equipment.
Basic understanding of financial management and budgeting.
Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and other relevant software.
Preferred Qualifications:
Certification in hospitality management or related field.
Experience in marketing and social media management.
Familiarity with health and safety regulations in the food and beverage industry.
