If you're a skilled barista with a great personality, you're the right person to join our artisan NY bagel cafe, where we also apply our top-quality bakery culture to the coffee at our new Surry Hills cafe. We’ve nurtured a strong relationship with our specialty coffee supplier, Barrel One Coffee Roasters, our machine is a shimmering-red La Marzocco PB three-group, we have a strong single-origin and alt-brew program, and we love to play with quality produce: think gold-standard barista milk, Black Gold cocoa, Byron’s Mayde tea & Market Lane coffee flowers, Prana Chai, housemade Mexican Hibiscus ice tea and more.

We’re looking for someone with our same passion for customers, industry-leading offerings and consistently great coffee. Got a passion for creativity? We love that too.

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Quality barista skills, timing shots, adjusting grinders, and latte art.
• Deliver exceptional coffee, in taste and presentation.
• Serving customers at the POS.
• Café opening and closing duties.
• Maintaining equipment and cleaning like a pro.
• Weekend availability (required).

Skills and experience:
• Attention to detail, high quality of work, and excellent customer service.
• Must have 1-2 years’ experience working as a barista within a fast-paced environment, ideally in specialty coffee.
• Ability to evolve our beverage menu, creating inspired hot and cold drinks (beyond just coffee).
• Interest in learning alternative brew methods, and loving our cold drip.
• Strong espresso preparation and tasting skills.
• Have a friendly, outgoing personality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
