The Nook is an independent takeaway beverage & bites shop located opposite Hampstead Heath overground station, a 1-minute walk from the entrance of Hampstead Heath and within a 2-minute walk of the Royal Free hospital. A friendly space where everyone is welcome but regulars largely include local residents and visitors to Hampstead Heath park. We opened during lockdown and have established ourselves as one of the leading places to go for a local treat.

The Nook has 4 core product offerings
1) Speciality Coffee – We are proud to partner with Origin coffee, a leading speciality coffee roaster with a strong independent offering within London.
2) Ice Cream – Partnering with an excellent London based brand of handmade ice cream
3) Hot Chocolate – 6 options plus specials
4) Milkshakes – 4 chocolate options plus specials
As well as the above, we offer a rotating selection of food options and a selection of premium teas/alternative lattes.

Our ideal candidate:
- Great attitude and work ethic, with outstanding customer service, people skills and personal presentation
- Confidence and an outgoing nature to engage with customers
- Reliable, pro-active and a good team-player (takes initiative to make or suggest improvements)
- Multitasker with ability to handle busy shifts and high volumes of orders
- Takes pride in keeping a clean work station
- Flexible working hours

The ideal Barista (in addition to above)
- Passionate about coffee, with experience as a barista serving speciality coffee
- Comfortable dialing in every morning and ensuring consistency throughout the day
- Good knowledge of coffee equipment & maintenance
- Latte art skills
- Ability to handle high volumes while delivering consistently high quality

The ideal Assistant Management will have (in addition to above)
- Previous experience as a supervisor/assistant manager of a café
- Comfortable leading a team – organising tasks, communicating, training, etc.
- Able to create and manage a team rota
- Previous responsibility of ordering from key suppliers
