The espressonist has become one of the most popular brunch spots in the South Wharf area. We are open 7 days a week for breakfast and lunch and 3 nights for dinner. Our philosophy for service is to be friendly whilst retaining a sense of professionalism at all times. We are known for our aesthetic fit-out, beautiful locale on the Yarra’s Edge Marina and of course great food, coffee and wine.
Our business has grown rapidly and we are seeking a trade qualified and experienced chef to join the team as Chef De Partie. We pay according to award MA000119 including penalty rates. Pay grade is determined through the interview process and based on candidate experience and skill.
Job description
As Chef De Partie you will be responsible for learning how to setup and run your section during service. The role will include learning several sections of the kitchen including prep, cold lader, fryers, pans and more.
Skills and experience
- Trade qualified with at least 2 years experience in commercial kitchens
- Good technical cooking skills and a good understanding of cooking techniques
- People skills and social awareness to work within a team
- Ability to work autonomously and stay productive when not supervised
- Passion for cleanliness, tidiness and organisation
- Willingness to keep pace in the kitchen and work through tasks quickly and systematically
